Volunteer with Us
Be part of something that truly matters
This is where care turns into action.
Why Volunteer with WNPS?
Because nature needs people as much as people need nature.
Sri Lanka is home to some of the richest biodiversity on Earth. From rainforests and wetlands to coral reefs and grasslands, these ecosystems support extraordinary life. Many of them are now under increasing pressure from habitat loss, climate change, and human activity.
By volunteering with WNPS, you become part of a collective effort that responds to these challenges with care, knowledge, and persistence. Volunteers support work that protects threatened species, strengthens environmental education, builds understanding within communities, and contributes to research and advocacy that shape real change.
At the Wildlife and Nature Protection Society, volunteers are not observers on the sidelines. They are an essential part of how conservation happens. Whether you bring professional skills, field experience, or simply a deep respect for nature, your time and commitment can help safeguard wildlife, ecosystems, and communities across the island.

Join Us in Making a Difference. Conservation is stronger when it is shared.
Volunteering with WNPS is not about grand gestures. It is about showing up, learning along the way, and contributing to something larger than yourself. It is about standing with wildlife, landscapes, and communities that cannot speak for themselves.
If you believe that Sri Lanka’s natural heritage is worth protecting, and that your time and effort can help make that protection possible, we invite you to take the next step.
Give your time. Share your skills. Help shape a future where nature thrives.
